Effective Jan. 31, 2021, APTA is changing how some users access the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice.
APTA Members: As an APTA member, you continue to have free access to the online Guide and will access it using your apta.org login as you have previously.
Individual Guide Subscribers:You will need to create a new user login, using your subscription ID to access the Guide.
Don't know your subscription ID? Contact our member success team for assistance.
Institutional Subscribers and Their Users: Beginning Jan. 31, 2021, institutional access will be email-based, meaning that any user with an email address that matches the domain of the subscribing institution will be able to log in (example a student who is using their program's email would be "student@program.edu"). This enables your users to access the Guide online from any location, on any device. We’re excited to present this enhancement to you and your users.
Your institution does not need to do anything for this change to happen. However, as a user you will need to create a free account for your initial login, using the email address associated with your institution.
If you need to renew your paid subscription or are a nonmember or institution wishing to subscribe to the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, you may do so online or by connecting with our member success staff.
Note: Students or users under an institutional subscription that are not current APTA members: Please allow 24-28 hours for access using your institution’s email exchange. If you have issues after this time period, please contact our member success team to get assistance at membersuccess@apta.org or by calling them at 800-999-2782.
This 24-48 hour wait time is expected to shorten. This page will be updated when that occurs. Thank you for your patience.
